Carbon Positive Programme for Ports
Carbon Positive Programme for Ports (CPPP) assists member ports to assess and monitor their carbon emissions, improve energy management and reduce their carbon footprint. It has been designed in collaboration with industry experts and allows ports to implement a carbon management plan and gain public recognition for their environmental performance.
The Programme spans three different phases:

After completing each phase's requirements the member port is awarded with a certificate recognising its effort to reduce its carbon footprint. The programme aims to encourage ports to reach the highest level of emissions reduction and become carbon neutral through offsetting.

CPPP: BENEFITS
+ delivers solutions to reduce port's carbon emissions
+ promotes the "decarbonisation" of the port's logistics and supply chain
+ enables port authorities to become frontrunners in carbon emissions and sustainable Port Management
+ uses in-depth scientific and technological research and analysis to improve all port related operations
+ presents all technological and operational options available together with feasibility studies to assist expanding ports
