Using the data gathered during phase1, Carbon Positive will develop a Port Energy Efficiency Management Plan (PEEMP) identifying for each emissions category appropriate measures to reduce energy consumption at the port and reduce its footprint.
Emphasis will be given to the reduction of GHG emissions from port operations, hinterland transport, the improvement of energy efficiency and the usage or renewable energy. The Programme sets a baseline against which emissions reductions will be compared.
Monitoring and reporting performance improvement is critical. As you reduce emissions and become more energy efficient, you will receive Carbon Positive certificates that bring commercial benefits.
+ Data processing and consultation with DPO for the creation of a bespoke PEEMP
+ Set emissions reduction targets and benchmarks in consultation with Designated Port Officer (DPO)
+ Selection of technical and operational abatement measures
+ Delivery of port specific PEEMP manual
+ Correct implementation of abatement solutions is assisted through expert technical consultation
+ Thorough training (also by electronic means) will strengthen correct implementation
+ Continuous monitoring and reporting of port performance through simple on-line updates
+ Carbon Positive certificate of phase2
