The participant then purchases carbon offsets, and once thay have been purchased, monitoring and reporting against the established targets begins. Upon reaching these targets, the phase is complete and will be verified by an independent organisation. Carbon Positive will help you manage this process.

Can I enter phase 3 without entering phase 1 or 2?
Carbon Positive strongly advises strict adherence to all three phases of its programme. However, with a verified carbon footprint a prospective client who only wishes to take part in phase3 may be able to do so.

Can I buy credits from Carbon Positive-recommended projects only?
Carbon Positive will provide an extensive list of carbon offset projects suitable ot the participant's requirements. The participant may provide evidence of purchase of other certified alternative offsets, however they will be checked against certain eligibility criteria.

What type of credits do I need to buy to offset my Carbon emissions in phase 3?
Certified carbon emission allowances from the voluntary and/or the compliance market.

How is the emissions reduction level set / is there a minimum level?
The participant is responsible for setting the offsetting level and there is no minimum.
